It’s a girl!

posted in Baby

So excited to announce that we are having a girl!

My parents and a good friend of my mother threw a gender reveal party for me, which was adorable, we had lots of fun with friends and family. So glad that they all made it.

That’s what we wanted to have and our wish came true 🙂 Now time to add a bunch of girly things to the registry and add some more things to her collection that I already have going.

First baby purchase

posted in Baby

I am not sure how long you are supposed to wait before buying things for baby, but I couldn’t resist. I caved and bought a set of cloth diapers and a chew toy, my first purchase of baby items and more to come.

lil joey tokidoki cloth diapers

These cloth diapers are the cutest! I have been doing a lot of research and decided cloth is the way to go. I was cloth diapered as a baby and I will continue that tradition.
I cannot stop myself from looking at Rumparooz diapers, also a side note – never thought I would ever be talking about diapers, let alone getting excited about them! Plus I am a sucker for anything tokidoki.

baby chew toy

Maybe too soon for a chew toy since our little one won’t be using it right away, but I figured a good addition to the nursery. Cute and adorable are going to be some heavily used words in my vocabulary from now on, I can’t help but ohh and aww over this stuff!

We’re expecting a little one

posted in Pregnancy

We’re expecting a little one!! We found out about a month ago but didn’t want to break the news until the first prenatal checkup to verify everything is okay with the little one. We are beyond excited and can’t wait to meet him or her. We will also be having a summer baby – fun for me [insert sarcasm here] and right around the time to celebrate my birthday! Would be really cool and really weird if I happen to deliver on my birthday – it’s pretty damn close… only 3 days from mine.

The whole reason for this blog wasn’t just for me to blab about myself and Andrew, I knew we were planning on trying to have a baby soon and wanted to have everything ready and setup to document my pregnancy journey 🙂  It’s awesome to have digital memories.

Anniversary Post!

posted in LoveWedding

It’s November 2nd, 2015 that means it’s our 2nd Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to the love of my life, Andrew Tomchik <3 It’s been a very awesome and interesting 2 years and I am looking forward to many more wonderful years with you.

Time really flies, can’t believe it’s been 2 years already! And we still have not cut our cake topper from the 1st anniversary, still sitting in the freezer at my parents – I think it may be time to toss it now; there is no way that cake could be edible at this point.

With both of our busy schedules, we didn’t exactly do proper planning this weekend for the anniversary, so we next week Saturday, he is taking me to the Melting Pot –  one of my favorite restaurants and we will celebrate that day instead 🙂
Although, I did make a lovely Sunday breakfast and dinner. Pancakes and Bacon (he did the bacon) and for dinner we had spaghetti with meat sauce and loaded sweet potatoes (double the marshmallows), was very yummy 🙂

Coloring & Game of Thrones

posted in CraftyCreativeFiction

Andrew and I are huge Game of Thrones fans, I decided to get the coloring book – I miss coloring so much been over 10 years since I have colored anything. I really like the coloring book, just a few things that disappointed me… Where is Jon? No sign of Jon besides his sword and who I think may be Ghost but could honestly be any of the wolves. No Arya, no Danny?! That one really took me by surprise, there are the dragon eggs but no Danny 🙁
There’s Sansa who is honestly not one of my favorite characters, Arya – I love <3 Most of all there is no Tyrian!!! That one I was really looking forward to 🙁

I started coloring the Children of the Forest. Can’t wait to finish it so I can move onto the Weir Tree and those beautiful red leaves. I am imagining this Child of the Forest to be Leaf, they say they also have red eyes, that would be a bit too much for this besides Leaf does not have red eyes in the show.

They say that coloring is as good as meditating and I am starting to feel its benefits. It’s very relaxing coloring, and coloring one of my favorite fiction stories 🙂
